CHRONOPOLIS

Vision

By the term metaverse we mean the expansion of our senses in an immersive space in order to expand the possibilities of human creativity. In this sense, Chronopolis aims to become THE metaverse in order to depict, explain and sensually experience the cultural assets of mankind in a scientifically sound framework. virtual space harbours infinite possibilities for experiencing cultural assets in a depth that was previously only possible in the introspection of one’s own imagination. Now the imagination becomes a real space with new, expanded possibilities for sharing knowledge. Lost cultural treasures can be resurrected, the structure of complex objects can be penetrated without loss and inaccessible objects from depots can always be available to the general public.

In the 500-year-old idea of Camillo’s theatre, these possibilities accumulate the knowledge of the world in one place, the virtual one, by bringing together objects from various international collections under one roof and placing them in a context of meaning.
